Mousesports were supposed to face Vega Squadron yesterday in the Semifinals of the LOOT.BET Cup, but the match was postponed. These teams will now face each other today, and the victor will face Heroic in the Finals. Actually, Heroic will have an unfair advantage in the Finals, because the Finals will be played a mere half an hour after the Semifinals match, which means a possibly tired team will have to face a fresh Heroic in the Finals.
Heroic crushed Valiance to enter the Finals, not giving them a single round in Train to take a flawless victory. In Inferno, Valiance were defeated by six rounds. So let’s see which team will be facing Heroic in these Finals.
Oskar may not join his team for the Semifinals
It seems oskar is still not available, but his team have found a reasonable replacement for him. Dennis “dennis” Edman will be playing in oskar’s place if he doesn’t show. Mousesports have already played against Team Spirit in the Quarterfinals with dennis on the team. They took some time to get their meta together in the first match against Team Spirit, but they performed really well in the next two matches.
So just who is dennis?
Any veteran Counter Strike fan will recognize him. He was one Fnatic’s core team players. In August of this year, he was traded for GODSENT’s Jonas “Lekr0” Olofsson. Dennis has been a part of GODSENT from that point on. He is currently inactive, along with Markus “pronax” Wallsten. But, when Astralis’ dev1ce first became ill, they chose dennis to play in his place. He played in eight matches with Astralis, against teams like SK Gaming, Ninjas in Pyjamas, North, G2 Esports and FaZe Clan, and won four matches. Later he was replaced by RUBINO of Dignitas. It seems mousesports made a wise choice hiring him in place of oskar, instead of continuing to play with their coach Imbt as a replacement. Now their team seems more complete, and can play more naturally than before.
Vega Squadron don’t have much chance against mousesports
Vega Squadron have never played against mousesports in the past, at least not with their current lineup. Their current roster have played ninety four online matches, with a fifty two percent win rate. Mousesports have participated in seventy five online matches, with a fifty seven percent win rate. Vega Squadron’s chances of a win are considerably threatened by the addition of dennis to mousesports’ lineup.
Overall maps stats for both the teams
Mousesports have a twenty six percent chance of a win against Vega Squadron in Nuke. Cobblestone is going to be banned by Vega Squadron since they never play that map. If Cobblestone does get banned, mousesports’ chances of a win soar to seventy one percent. Both these team’s performance in Overpass and Train are almost equal. In Mirage, Vega Squadron is better than mousesports by just eight percent, and by six percent in Cache. Vega Squadron has a twenty one percent chance of a win in Inferno.
A sure win for mousesports
Why is this a sure win for mousesports? There’s that clear difference in experience. Every player on mousesports except ropz has played at least seven hundred maps in the course of their careers. ChrisJ, the captain of mousesports, has alone played more than one thousand maps. On the other hand, Vega Squadron’s players have not played more than three hundred maps. Mousesports are veterans. Perhaps, in time, Vega Squadron may be able to defeat mousesports, but not today. Today is a sure win for mousesports, and you can make a neat packet on them with the odds running at 1.35. Stake high to multiply your winnings.
