Valve Does It Again – The International Prize Pool Sets New Record

The International Prize Pool will, once again, make history as it sets the record for the largest prize pool in Esports history.

Record Breaking in Record Time

So much for the earlier concerns of the TI7 prize pool stagnating.

Valve’s free-to-play MOBA now holds 4 of the largest prize pools in Esports history, with TI setting and breaking records every year since TI4.

With Immortal Treasure III still yet to release, is it safe to assume that the prize pool will grow well over $23 million in the next 30 or so days?

The International Prize Pool Prediction

At this point last year, the TI6 prize pool hovered around $18.3 million, while the TI5 prize pool was somewhere around $15.5 million.

Both would see their prize pools balloon to $20,770,460 and $18,429,631 by the time crowd-funding had ended.

All things considered, it’s not far-fetched to think that the TI7 prize pool would see a similar or an even bigger spike in the next few weeks, especially since Valve has yet to release The Immortal Treasure III.
