We’ve seen a couple of big surprises in the first few weeks of the Spring Split 2018 NA LCS and Week 4 looks to be no different. Last year’s favourites started the season badly, but both Counter Logic Gaming and Team SoloMid have been able make up ground and are starting to look like the teams they were expected to be heading into the season. Both teams will have a long way to go if they want to challenge Echo Fox, Cloud9 and Team Liquid at the Spring Split 2018 NA LCS.
Read on more below for our preview of Week 4 of the Spring Split 2018 NA LCS.
TSM vs. Clutch Gaming (1.40 vs. 2.75)
Match Schedule: February 10 (Saturday – 23:00 CET )
After Febiven’s Penta-kill and TSM’s 2-0 in Week 3 of the Spring Split 2018 NA LCS, this game becomes far more difficult to predict than before. Clutch lost to C9 and 100 Thieves, however, even after Febiven’s Penta-kill on Azir and it takes a lot to beat TSM, even when they’re at their weakest. Clutch Gaming definitely have a chance, but it seems as if TSM have finally begun to gel, after beating Golden Guardians and 100 Thieves last week. It will be a close one, but if TSM are to regain their title as kings of NA, they will definitely have to win this one.
With so much at stake, TSM are looking like the team who will deliver between the two.
C9 vs. Team Liquid (1.90 vs. 1.80)
Match Schedule: February 11 (Sunday 01:00 CET)
Both of these teams have had a very good first few weeks. Both C9 and TL are currently sitting at 5-1, alongside Echo Fox. This game is therefore seen as a battle of the titans, with the winner establishing their dominance on the Spring Split 2018 NA LCS.
With both teams only dropping one game apiece, it’s a tough game to call. Will C9’s superior team cohesion win out, or Team Liquid’s better players win out?
The odds aren’t particularly attractive, as they are fairly close to each other. However, this is definitely a game to watch. It will be incredibly exciting to see who will come out on top. You can expect both teams to fight tooth, nail, hammer and tongs to come out ahead. The bookies favour Team Liquid slightly but C9 have the advantage of playing together as a team for a long time.
If there’s one thing we can be sure of, though, is that it’s going to be one hell of a game.
TSM vs. CLG – (1.50 vs. 2.40)
Match Schedule: February 12 (Monday – 01:00 CET)
This is another matchup to pay close attention to, as both teams are looking like they’re finally starting to find their groove after a lackluster start to the season. CLG are worth a risk here, if only because they’re looking to prove that they’re not just some middling team. But it’s not exactly like TSM are one to back down, especially since they’re just starting to show that they are indeed a top tier team.
TSM are likely to win here, but it’s not 100% sure; CLG are not to be underestimated and have a pretty strong chance of pulling off an upset.
