Ease of use
ArcaneBet is a site completely dedicated to Esports, and it offers one of the widest ranges of Esports and events available.3.8
ArcaneBet is supposed to have been founded by people enthusiastic about Esports, and Esports betting. It certainly is focused upon Esports, with a very wide selection available to bet upon – about fourteen in all. Of course, there is betting on traditional sports as well. There are also interesting jackpots running in the background, that anyone who bets on the site is eligible for.
The site is reasonably international, supporting the most wide-spread languages, including English and Spanish, as well as Russian, German, and even Chinese. This range is still well below other betting sites – however, the site is a new one, having been established only this year, and support for more languages will probably be added in soon.
All in all, a good site to bet on – we haven’t been able to find any negative reviews about this site, which is a very good sign.
Here’s our thoughts on Arcanebet…
ArcaneBet Esports Ratings
Games Selection – Rated 5/5
This is one point that is clearly in favor of ArcaneBet. From the point of view of the Esports bettor, it’s a pity we can’t give this site a higher ranking than 5, because it certainly deserves it. This is both for the range of Esports you can bet on, as well as the special odds and markets.
ArcaneBet touts itself as a site dedicated to Esports, and there’s little doubt that it lives up to its claims, at least in this area. Their selection includes games we haven’t seen on other betting domains, so that’s a definite plus point.
There are the usual games, which of course include Dota 2, League of Legends, CS:GO, Call of Duty, as well as Overwatch and Starcraft II. But one can bet on many more games on this site, including Hearthstone, Halo, Vain Glory, Smite, World of Tanks, Clash Royal and Crossfire.
It’s good to see Esports so appreciated and encouraged
When you’re betting there’s a wide selection of markets to choose from. Of course, every betting site has those, but it’s still worth mentioning as we review the site. We find that a wide range of markets is entertaining and intriguing, and also that it offers more flexibility in both odds and betting, which allows the veteran bettor to more carefully place his or her stakes to maximize profits.
It goes without saying that the widest range of markets on the site are focused on the most popular games, such as League of Legends, Dota 2, and CS:GO, but even the ‘fringe’ games have a reasonable selection of markets.
Match winner, map winner and handicap are common markets found everywhere, of course, as well as Tournament Winner. Other markets are over-under bets on kills, rounds and time, as well as bets on even and odd numbers of maps and rounds. Over-under bets also include ‘towers destroyed’, which we always find interesting.
Other markets offered are whether play will go into a 3rd map, which team will score a kill first, whether there will be a co-op ‘team kill’, and which team will dominate a particular round, or first gain a particular number of kills. And of course there’s a market for guessing the right score.
Ease of Use – Rated 5/5
A reasonable interface, with features that include allowing one to access all the betting on the site almost instantaneously – this is in sharp contrast to many other betting sites. It is a good, smooth and thoughtful design, actually very convenient, with the number of esports and options all on a single page.
Of course, the site does allow you to focus on single games and categories as well.
Customer Support – Rated 3/5
The three start rating is not to say the customer service is bad, because it isn’t. Reps seem to be reasonably courteous – the only problems is that they only work nine to six. That’s in sharp contrast to most business websites these days – and certainly gambling sites – which usually have a 24/7 customer support. Where ArcaneBet are concerned, you can’t rely on being able to contact the site outside those working hours.
On the other hand, you can reach support using email, by phone and using their live chat option, so this is really a big point in their favor. As is the fact that there are no negative reviews about their support – or this website – that we can see.
Another advantage is that the support staff are knowledgeable about Esports, and know exactly what you’re talking about when you talk to them, or use Esports-related terms in your requests. Another plus point. A pity about the limited working hours, but perhaps that will change.
Money Transfers – Rated 4/5
Once again, the 4 stars are because of their limited working hours. While you can put in a request for a withdrawal whenever you want, it will only be processed during the support staffs’ working hours. Can’t they outsource the graveyard shift? All the credit card companies do!
However, they still have a reasonably high rating, because the site supports many methods of payment. It accepts all credit cards, though credit card transfers are limited to between 10 and 1000 euro. There’s Skrill, and Sofort and Paysafe and QUWI, as also Yandex and Moneta, and perhaps even inpay, though that last is unconfirmed. All in all, quite a lot. The site also supports Bitcoin.
And that’s not all – there’s also SKINPAY
SKINPAY allows you to deposit your skins on the site, and credits you with real money for them. In short, the site allows you to directly convert your skins into money. There’s no limitation to how you can play this money on the site. This is a very Esports-community-friendly option.
The only real negative, as I mentioned, is those limited hours in which customer support – and thus withdrawals – are available. This means that if you request a withdrawal, support will only process the withdrawal when they come to work… and that makes wait times longer than if the site had 24/7 support.
International Support – Rated 2/5
Yes, that’s rather a dismal rating. As a matter of fact, our site does not usually rate a site for ‘international support’, but in this case, it is relevant. ArcaneBet does not serve residents of the UK or the USA. Other countries that are not served are Bulgaria, Spain or Hong Kong. Perhaps local laws in these countries prevent the site dealing with them. Whatever the reason, if you live in one of these places, you will find yourself excluded from using this site. We trust that the site will find their way to resolving this issue.
Another aspect of this issue is that the site offers support for just five languages. Yes, these are major languages – English, Spanish, Russian, German, and Chinese. But it’s still a bit limited for a site that wants to reach out to an international clientele. We hope that they’ll see their way to improving this option.
Important Features on ArcaneBet
Live Esports Odds
We find live betting particularly interesting, because it allows a bettor to stake on developing events in a match. A veteran bettor can ‘feel’ which way a match is going, and how events are likely to turn out, and this can be quite an advantage when placing stakes. Especially when a team might play brilliantly on one day, and in a mediocre manner on another.
Live betting on ArcaneBet is easy enough once you log in – you just go to the ‘Live’ menu, and you’ll get an instant selection of Live events. The Live section on ArcaneBet is dominated by the more popular games, like Dota 2, CS:GO and League of Legends, and this is only to be expected.
The site also has live streaming, which is an advantage, allowing you to watch an event that you’re interested in live while making your bet. Of course, one could always watch the official streams, so this isn’t an all-important feature, but it’s convenient.
Of course, there’s nothing special about a site offering mobile betting today, but it might be mentioned in this review that ArcaneBet certainly does. There isn’t a special app, with the website itself being optimized for mobile views. We actually prefer this, so long, that is, that the website works perfectly. This one does. The mobile-friendly construction of the site is especially useful if you’re interested in live betting, because it lets you place bets ‘on the go’.
The Cash Out Feature
A lot of betting sites are offering a Cash Out feature, and ArcaneBet is no exception. With the Cash Out feature, you can reduce the stake in a bet, or even remove the bet entirely at any time during which the bet is running. This allows you to carefully tune your winnings, and more importantly, to control your losses. A useful feature, especially when you combine it with mobile betting. This can be very useful if you encounter additional information that, in your opinion, changes the chances of a bet working out.
However, do note that the site does not offer Cash Out across the entire betting range on their site. This feature is only available for certain selected bets, and of course for Accumulator bets as well.
A Progressive Jackpot
Progressive Jackpots involve a number of events, and to qualify for the Jackpot, you must bet on all of those events. Any sort of bet qualifies, though the minimum amount that you have to bet is .25 euro. If one or more events wins, the Jackpot is then distributed among all the winning bettors. Do bear in mind that if any of the events are canceled, the Progressive Jackpot will be voided and transferred to the next week.
The Mystery Jackpot
This is another nice concept on ArcaneBet. The Mystery Jackpot offers a bettor a chance to win something even if they don’t actually win on their bets.
This is how it works…
The Mystery Jackpot is based on a random selection system. Anyone who bets on the site becomes part of the Mystery Jackpot, and could win it, with some terms and conditions. A bettor can win the Jackpot even if they happen to lose the bet that allowed them to qualify for it. Which is rather interesting – betting within betting, so to speak.
ArcaneBet offers reasonable odds, especially on Majors. On Majors, the house cut is usually 22%, which is lower than other betting sites. Smaller events do not seem to offer as good odds, with the house cut being 28%. Still reasonable odds. We do recommend that you concentrate on Majors when you first start betting at ArcaneBet, though.
Betting limits are quite restrictive
Some bettors may find ArcaneBet’s limits restrictive. However, I suppose this is actually sensible in a relatively new site that wants to maintain financial stability. Whatever the reason, you’ll find your bets on big events limited to around 300 euro, while lesser events are limited to 120 euro.
A 100% First Deposit Bonus
The site does offer a 100% bonus up to a maximum of 100 euro. On the other hand, as with all starter bonuses, there are complex rollover requirements. In this case, the bonus needs to be rolled over five times before you can access it. You must read and understand the terms and conditions of the bonus before accepting it. If you read the terms and conditions and don’t completely understand what they’re talking about, call the site’s customer support. If you still don’t understand what is required of you after their explanations, then we’d advise you not to take the bonus – it will only make things complicated as you use the site.
Instead, use the betting predictions on EsportsRanks to grow your deposit, and just keep winning on well-analyzed, sure bets.
If you’d like to take ArcaneBet’s bonus, the code is 100ARCANE – remember that you must enter the code while depositing funds for the first time. Also, do remember that the bonus only applies to your first deposit, so make sure that you deposit enough funds to make the bonus you receive satisfactory.
Final Analysis – Pros and Cons
So let’s balance the pros and cons of ArcaneBet’s different features and services.
Pros – these are the benefits of using ArcaneBet
- Arcane bet is really pretty much a dedicated Esports site, with an unmatched range of Esports to bet on. It’s true that there are more events for more popular Esports, but the fact remains that the site is a great one for Esports betting enthusiasts.
- The 100% welcome bonus is reasonably generous.
- There are very good odds on the site – these are especially good on the more popular Esports, so remember and use that to maximize your profits.
- While most online betting sites support live betting, it’s still worth noting that ArcaneBet supports live betting reliably.
- A wide range of payment methods are accepted, including Bitcoin.
- SkinPay allows you to bet using skins. This is very useful for anyone wanting to transition from skins betting to cash betting. The fact that the skins are credited as useable cash in your account is especially useful.
- It’s nice to have three support options, including email, phone-ins and live chat.
- The site shows active support for safe gaming. Like most responsible betting sites, ArcaneBet has a section that allows people using the site to access a lot of support facilities. These include quizzes that check for compulsive issues, and links to assistance sites. You can also set a cooling-off time, as well as pre-set reminders. There are also parental controls.
- Most important of the negatives is that this site does not serve some countries. Residents of the UK or the USA, as well as people from Bulgaria, Spain or Hong Kong are excluded. Another negative is that the site only supports five major languages – English, Spanish, German, Russian and Chinese. Other sites support a more international clientele.
- The site asks that one rollover the bonus several times to cash in on it. This is, of course, common to most betting sites, but it is still a negative. It makes the bonus a little complex to access unless you really understand how it works.
- The site does not allow simulated betting. Simulated betting is very useful, because it allows one to get a feel for a particular betting event. This is always nice before ‘taking the plunge’.
The fact that the site is so focused on Esports makes it a great site for Esports enthusiasts. It has an excellent interface, very intuitive. The additional Jackpots that run in the background and which you can qualify for by betting are also nice.
The site still gets a rating of 3.8. The rating is mostly lower because of the fact that the site doesn’t serve some countries. This is a big let-down for residents of those countries. But other than that, this is a great site to play on, and profit from.
