Today has one of the most exciting match-sets we’ve seen in the ELEAGUE Quarterfinals. FaZe Clan goes up against EnVyUs in what promises to be the hardest-fought battle of the week. So without more ado, we give you…
ELEAGUE Quarterfinals –
FaZe Clan vs Team EnVyUs
(October 11, 2017 – 14:00 EDT)
FaZe Clan are second in the global rankings, as well as in Europe. They played 11 matches in September and won 9. That gives them an 82% win-ratio for September. In October, though, they haven’t done half as well, losing 5 out of 13 matches.
They did win 8 matches, of course, so they still have a 62% win-ratio.
Team EnVyUs, on the other hand, stand 12th in the global rankings, and 8th in Europe. September was a disappointing month for EnVyUs. They played a total of 16 matches and were only able to win 4 of them. After losing 12 matches, their win-ratio was a mere 25%.
This changed in October; they won 9 out of 12 matches and now have a win-rate of 75%. They even managed to defeat Fnatic, North, mousesports and G2 Esports.
This looks pretty intense for FaZe Clan
They are in the same tier as the teams we’ve just mentioned. Team EnVyUs are playing very well at the moment.
But… these are going to be BO3 matches
And in the past few weeks FaZe Clan have lost only one BO3 out of 7 that they played. This gives them a lethal 86% win-rate in BO3 matches.
Team EnVyUs have also played 7 BO3 matches in the last few weeks, but could only win 4 of them.
FaZe have a 60% chances of winning this match, as compared to a 40% chance for Team EnVyUs. A bet on FaZe Clan wouldn’t be out of place.
The odds are 3/10 on FaZe Clan!
ELEAGUE Quarterfinals –
North vs Heroic
(October 11, 2017 – 16:30 EDT)
The most recent matches between North and Heroic were in the Esports Championship Series Season 4 – Europe Development League. There Heroic defeated North in both the matches – Mirage (16:10) and Inferno (16:14). These matches were on the 20th of September of this year.
North currently rank 3rd globally and in Europe. They performed well above par in September. North played 22 matches and won 14 of them, with 3 draws and 5 losses, acquiring a 64% win-rate.
They have not done half as well in this month, taking part in 6 matches and only winning 2 of them. That gives them a below average win-rate of only 33%.
But Heroic doesn’t quite match that
They rank 17th in the global rankings, and 11th in the European ones. Heroic did not perform at all well in September. They played 18 matches, with 8 wins, 1 draw and 9 losses.
This gave them a win-rate of just 44%. However, they have done even worse in the current month.
They’ve played 14 matches – and lost 10! That gives them a win-rate that is an awe-inspiring 29%.
We’re being ironic, of course.
So this is going to be a BO3 match. In recent weeks, North have played 8 of these and won 6. That’s pretty impressive – a 75% win-rate. Heroic has played 8 BO3s as well – and lost 5 of them. That’s not a good sign for the future.
North have a good chance of winning the upcoming Quarterfinal matches.
The odds are 8/15 on North!
