OG Welcome Roman ‘Resolut1on’ Fominok

Arguably the hottest free agent of the post TI7 shuffle, Roman ‘Resolut1on’ Fominok finally finds himself a new home with the 4 time Major winners OG.

OG Find Themselves a Resolut1on

Resolut1on is a long time mid player for Team Empire who has arguably been the most prolific carry player in Dota 2 for the past two years.

He shined in the position 1 carry role with Digital Chaos back in TI6 where he helped the NA underdogs finish in 2nd place after losing to Wings Gaming 3-1 in the Grand Finals. Although his team Planet Odd flunked out at the TI7 qualifiers, he still was able to play in TI7 after one of Team Empire’s players could not travel to Seattle due to Visa issues.

As a stand-in for Team Empire, Resolut1on was key yet again to another underdog’s unlikely success; his play proved instrumental to Team Empire’s success against the likes of Cloud9 and Evil Geniuses to finish in 7th-8th place.

OG’s latest announcement comes two weeks after the organisation decided to part ways with Anathan ‘Ana’ Pham, who has since decided to take a break from competitive Dota 2 for the season.

With OG, Resolut1on returns to the mid lane where his greedy and farm-hungry play style serves to benefit from OG’s overall playstyle, especially from Johan ‘N0tail’ Sundstein’s preference to take on a more sacrificial, space-creating role as a core.

It will be at least a few weeks until we see OG’s latest addition in action at the qualifiers for SL i-League and PGL Open Bucharest.

How well do you think Resolut1on fits with OG? Do you think his addition will bring the 4-time Major winners more success in the upcoming season? Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments down below!
