The NFL-Fortnite Partnership Officially Announced

And just like that, the NFL-Fortnite partnership has been made official.

The partnership was officially announced by the Fortnite team on Twitter. According to the post, Fortnite players will be able to purchase NFL-themed outfits based on all of the 32 teams of the National Football League starting this Friday, November 9, at 4 pm PT/7 pm ET.

As for the announcement video itself, it features in-game characters dressed in uniforms of all the teams of the NFL. Surprisingly enough, there was no gameplay footage to showcase how the costumes would look once bought and worn by players during actual gameplay.

This is not all. Players will also have the option choose a number from 0-99 to put on the backs of their jerseys. This helps add a deeper layer of customisation to the jerseys and make them feel more authentic.

The NFL-Fortnite partnership is just one of the many instances that Fortnite has struck partnerships and crossed over with big names in other industries. Case in point, earlier this year, Thanos was made a playable in-game character in Fortnite as part of their Avengers: Infinity War crossover event.

What’s Next After the NFL-Fortnite Partnership?

While we don’t know exactly what kind of partnerships Epic Games have up their sleeve for Fortnite in the near future, we do know that the company has grand plans for the game down the line.

As of the moment, Fortnite has plenty going on already. It recently enjoyed an in-game event, as well as saw the explosion of the beloved cube that was added to the game earlier this season, which sent players into a different area.

Following the said event, Fortnite’s map changed yet again. Leaky Lake, for one, has since looked drastically different. This change is in line with Fortnite’s trend of constantly making changes to its map.

Fortnite is currently enjoying its sixth season. Recently released outfits suggest that it’s either Halloween or, at least, costume-themed.
