New Alliance Dota 2 Roster Finally Revealed

After going for months with Jonathan ‘Loda‘ Berg as their only active player, the new Alliance Dota 2 roster has finally been announced. Notably different from this year’s roster is that it isn’t a full-Swedish lineup. Instead, only four of their players hail from Sweden this time around as Tommy ‘Taiga‘ Lee is from Norway.

The new Alliance Dota 2 roster was officially announced by the Sweden based organisation themselves via their website earlier today.

Say Hello to the New Alliance Dota 2 Roster

Loda sure took his sweet time assembling the new Alliance Dota 2 roster. Although it’s not like the legendary Dota 2 player promised anything less. He did make it clear that he wanted to make sure that every member was a good fit for the team before making the official announcement.

Of the 4 new Alliance players, most fans will probably already be familiar with Michael ‘mICKe‘ Nguyen and Aydin ‘iNsania‘ Sarkohi. Both players played with Loda in “Team_team”, the all-Swedish lineup that competed in the WESG EU Regionals and qualified for the WESG LAN Finals earlier next year.

The others? Not so much. At least, to most Dota 2 fans. But, for those who followed Heroes of Newerth closely years ago, the name Samuel ‘boxi‘ Svahn might ring a bell. After all, together with his new teammates, mICKe and iNsania, the trio are part of the top 10 highest earning professional HoN players of all time.

Alliance’s fifth member, the position five support player Tommy ‘Taiga‘ Le, is a newbie to the competitive Dota 2 scene. He has only played at the game’s highest level starting a few months ago with Ilya ‘Illidan‘ Pivtasev and No Rats, formerly known as SFTe-sports.

Eager fans will have to wait for a while to see the new Alliance Dota 2 roster in action; the team’s newest midlaner, mICKe is currently “going through surgery during the winter” for a hand injury.
