Team Dignitas vs Cloud9 Game 1

Game 1 lasted nearly 40 minutes, with plenty of kills throughout. Team Dignitas controlled most of those 40 minutes. Despite some erratic playing, they were able to bring in a much needed victory.

Jensen showed a glimmer of hope for Cloud9. His Cassiopeia playing was great, but he still finished  7/4/5. They needed a better performance from everyone if they wanted to win game 2.

Team Dignitas vs Cloud9 Game 2

Cloud9 started strongly in game 2, but a lost Baron fight began to turn things around. Dignitas were able to take control and secure another 2 barons before moving on to finish the game and head the series 2-0.

Team Dignitas vs Cloud9 Game 3

In game 3 Cloud9 finally showed up. Dignitas managed just one objective in the entire game, and that was lowly tier 1 tower. A brilliant performance by Smoothie saw his support Blitz finish 2/0/10.

Cloud9 controlled from start to finish, losing just 3 deaths and showing that the series could yet go to 5 games.

Team Dignitas vs Cloud9 Game 4

This game was back and forth throughout. Cloud 9 had an amazing 10 k gold lead at 35 minutes but let victory slip from their grasp. Their lead was eaten away little by little for the remaining 15 minutes.

Altec’s Sivir showed up in a big way to end with a devastating team fight. Dignitas carried the game and won the series 3-1.

Dignitas progressed from the NA LCS 2017 summer playoffs quarterfinals into the semifinal round against TSM.

Counter Logic Gaming vs Team Envy Game 1

Game 1 was a pretty standard League of Legends result. It was fairly close until a baron kill gave CLG the edge. They went from there to secure several objectives and the next baron. They then pushed for victory in the only major team fight of the game. Victory CLG.

Counter Logic Gaming vs Team Envy Game 2

Nisqy was unkillable in the mid lane. He finished as a 4/0/10 Galio having done his job. Envy secured four dragons to CLG’s 0 and the outcome was never really in question. Envy beat their opponents, with CLG managing to take down just one lousy tower.

Counter Logic Gaming vs Team Envy Game 3

Nisqy produced another deathless game as they blocked all objectives from CLG once again. It was a great performance that they would need to repeat to win the series.

Counter Logic Gaming vs Team Envy Game 4

Team Envy looked certain to take game 4 until a perfect Darshan led his team through a series of team fights. CLG were able to take the baron off the back of one of these and then push onto victory.

It was a solid performance by the entire CLG team. Team Envy were left pondering what might have been had things turned out differently.

Counter Logic Gaming vs Team Envy Game 5

The deciding game of the series needed to be secured by a 9/1/7 Tristana hyper carry. Team Envy could never find the map presence to challenge CLG’s early control and they were able to edge the series 3-2.

The Semifinals

The NA LCS 2017 Summer Playoffs Quarterfinals have come to an end. Counter Logic Gaming progress to take on Immortals and Dignitas have earned the right to spar against Team SoloMid.

Dignitas will be fairly happy with their Quarter Final appearance and might fancy their chances at usurping the champions, while CLG will wish they won more convincingly.
