Former C9 Standout MSS to Complete Immortals Dota 2 Roster

The Immortals Dota 2 roster is now complete, with the pickup of former Cloud9 standout and offlaner Arif ‘MSS‘ Anwar.

MSS will serve as the team’s newest offlaner. He is currently the only non-Korean on the squad.

The Immortals Dota 2 Roster Is Now Complete

After securing a spot at PGL Open Bucharest and Dota Pit League Minor, Immortals have since enjoyed little success. Though they have remained competitive — finishing in 2nd place in three different Pro Circuit Qualifiers — in a surprisingly lackluster North American region this season, they yet to secure another Pro Circuit appearance.

MSS will look to change that.

A spectacular offlaner who spent much of last season with Team NP (who were later picked up by Cloud9), MSS hasn’t exactly had a better season himself. After Jacky ‘EternaLEnVy‘ Mao took his talents to Southeast Asia, MSS joined a Digital Chaos squad fresh off of a 9th-12th place finish at TI7 along with two-time Major winner David ‘MoonMeander‘ Tan.

MSS’ stint with Digital Chaos, however, would not last long. He would only stay with the team for roughly two months, failing to win anything significant in that span.

Coincidentally enough, Lee ‘Forev’ Sang-don, who MSS is replacing, most recently played with Digital Chaos; he was part of the North American organisation’s TI7 roster. He would only leave Digital Chaos after TI7, joining up with his former TI6 MVP.Phoenix teammates to play under the Team Pheonix banner, which later became the Immortals Dota 2 roster.

MSS will make his debut at the North American Qualifiers for the Starladder Minor on January 8.
