Mineski Secure Their Second Straight Minor Qualifier

Mineski continue their winning ways after securing their second straight Dota 2 Minor qualifier of the season in dominant fashion by going 8-0 in the StarLadder SEA Qualifiers.

StarLadder SEA Qualifiers Recap

Fresh off a Top 16 finish at The International 7 and bolstered by the recent addition of Kim ‘Gabbi’ Villafuerte, Execration took no time asserting themselves as one of the best teams in Southeast Asia.

On the other hand, their brethren, TNC Pro Team, struggled out of the gates as they lost to the open qualifier team BOOM ID. However, they were able to recapture their form in the lower brackets, taking down the likes of Clutch Gamers, Fire Dragoon before ultimately getting their revenge against BOOM ID.

TNC Pro Team then eliminated Execration in the loser’s bracket finals to move on to the Grand Finals where Mineski were waiting.

As for Fnaticthe team who recently added Jacky ‘EternaLEnVy’ Mao among others, they looked out of sorts and flunked out early. It’s evident that it will take quite some time for Fnatic to gel as a team.

Starladder SEA Qualifiers

Mineski has gone on to secure one qualifier after another with SEA legends Chai ‘Mushi’ Yee Fung and Daryl Koh ‘iceiceice’ Pei Xiang in the fold. The team even gave birth to a new meta along the way. Or at least, iceiceice did with his core Winter Wyvern pick against Clutch Gamers earlier during the StarLadder SEA Qualifiers.

The said game was actually the first time ever a core Winter Wyvern won an official game.

In any case, TNC Pro Team proved no match against Mineski in the Grand Finals as they took the series 2-0, ending both games with significant gold leads.

Mineski are now 20-1 in official matches overall after going 8-0 through the entire StarLadder SEA Qualifiers and winning their third straight tournament qualifier.
