OpTic Gaming Sign The Dire

With little to no indication that they were set to venture out of the FPS genre for the first time, OpTic Gaming has picked up a Dota 2 team and none other than The Dire, led by Peter ‘ppd’ Dager were the lucky ones chosen to play for one of the most influential Esports organisations in North America.

In case you missed it, ppd and his stack of players recently won the King’s Cup Online tournament to qualify for The Summit 8. They have also proven themselves legitimate threats in a stacked NA region, having finished as runner-up in a couple of qualifier tournaments as well.

OpTic Gaming are set to make their first LAN appearance in the Dota 2 all-star weekend in Manila later this month on October 13 to October 15.
