MDL Disneyland Paris Major Team List Finalised

All fifteen Dota 2 teams who will be playing at the MDL Disneyland Paris Major have been finalised following the conclusion of the North American qualifiers.

Team Team, an unsponsored stack headlined by mercurial hard carry player, Jacky ‘EternaLEnVy‘ Mao, was the fifteenth and last team to book their ticket to Disneyland Paris. These fifteen Dota 2 teams plus the winners of the OGA Dota PIT Minor 2019 will square off from May 5-12 for the fourth Major of the 2018-19 Dota Pro Circuit.

The event was first confirmed in March earlier this year. As a Dota 2 Major, the MDL Disneyland Paris Major will feature a $1 million prize pool. It will also have 15,000 DPC points up for grabs.

The event marks a historical milestone for both the Dota 2 community and Mars Media. For the latter, it will serve as the first time time that Mars Media will host a tournament outside of China. Meanwhile, it is also going to be Paris’ first time to host a premiere Dota 2 event.

The MDL Disneyland Paris Major will see the Major debut of as many as five Dota 2 teams. This includes the reigning The International 2018 champions, OG, who will surprisingly be making their way to a Major for the first time this season. They will no doubt look to put up a good showing after failing so many times already this season. Given that they recently welcomed back their superstar hard carry, Anathan ‘ana‘ Pham, the pressure is on OG to perform with their TI winning lineup finally complete for the first time in LAN this season.

compLexity Gaming and Team Team also made it out of the North American qualifiers over incumbent favourites, J.Storm and Forward Gaming.

Team Team, as mentioned earlier, is an unsponsored stack made up of various North American journeymen with EternaLEnVy, who is returning back to the hard carry position, leading the way. Meanwhile, compLexity Gaming will also be making their way to a Major for the first time since EPICENTER XL in May of 2018.

With a healthy mix of established powerhouses, as well as Dota 2 teams who are hungry for some DPC points, and a country that’s hosting a Dota 2 Major for the first time in history, the MDL Disneyland Paris Major is surely going to be one of the highlight events of the 2018-19 Dota Pro Circuit.
