All of the action of the Maincast Autumn Brawl Playoffs so far will come to a head as we head on over to the playoffs, starting with the Round of 12.

The online tournament is an invite-only event that initially featured as many as 20 teams, mostly from the CIS region with a couple of European teams thrown in. But now, only 12 teams remain with the Group Stages done and dusted.

From here on out, the stakes and the competition are only set to get better, as the likes of Team Secret and Virtus.Pro await whichever teams will make it out of the first round of the favour Autumn Brawl Playoffs.

At this time tomorrow, only 8 teams will remain in the Maincast Autumn Brawl Playoffs. (Maincast)

NoPangolier vs Espada

Match Schedule: October 10, 2018 (14:00 CEST)

At first glance, Espada is a no-brainer here. This is a team that’s consistently improved since their formation pre-TI8, having gone toe-to-toe with the best that CIS region had to offer and very nearly qualifying for numerous LAN events, which is something that they surprisingly have yet to do, by the way.

But then, you take a look at the roster of NoPangolier, and for a stack that has no sponsor, they’re pretty good. Most of the players are known within the region, with Semion ‘CemaTheSlayer‘ Krivulya widely considered as one of the better captains to come out of CIS.

Given how rather easily NoPangolier took out Team Spirit, a solid Tier 2 team, in the Group Stages, Espada might just find themselves having bitten off more than they can chew up against the CemaTheSlayer-led stack of players.

Betting: NoPangolier to win at 2.49 odds. (GGbet)

Natus Vincere vs Team Lithium

Match Schedule: October 10, 2018 (17:00 CEST)

Natus Vincere being considered a solid Tier 2 team in the CIS region is a testament to how shallow the competition there is. Case in point, Team Lithium is a team with serious potential. However, they are a fringe Tier 2 team at best in Europe. That’s not a knock on them, either. It’s just that, when you have to consistently play against better teams, like Team Secret and Team Liquid as well as Alliance and Ninjas in Pyjamas, it’s harder to climb up the proverbial ladder.

Considering how well Team Lithium has performed so far in this tournament and in prior showings and how much worse Natus Vincere have looked since parting ways with Danil ‘Dendi‘ Ishutin at the start of the season, this matchup is an easy opportunity to make bank.

Betting: Team Lithium to win at 2.59 odds. (GGbet)

Team Winstrike vs Nemiga

Match Schedule: October 10, 2018 (20:00 CEST)

This is perhaps the only matchup of the Round of 12 of the Maincast Autumn Brawl playoffs that should turn out completely in the way of the favourites.

While Team Winstrike have not had as good of a start to the season as they would have hoped for following a top 12 finish at TI8, which ultimately led to the departure of their captain Aleksander ‘Nofear‘ Churochkin, the team is now doing a lot better. Their stand-in, Fedor ‘velheor‘ Rusikhin, is fitting in quite nicely with the team, and they’re now seemingly back to play like their old ultra aggressive selves.

Unless Team Winstrike choke or decide to deliberately throw the game tomorrow, this series should end rather quickly in their favour.

Betting: Correct Score (In Maps) 2-0 in favor of Team Winstrike at 2.15 odds. (GGbet)

Underdogs vs Team Spirit

Match Schedule: October 11, 2018 (14:00 CEST)

This should be a free win for Team Spirit, but they looked shaky during the Group Stages, and they were playing against newly formed stacks. Although they eventually did win out against Happy Guys, it took them all three games to do so, which should be a cause for concern for the team going forward.

Fortunately, it shouldn’t be that big of a problem against a relatively inexperienced team like Underdogs.

While we should expect a hard-fought series from these two teams, Team Spirit should ultimately walk away with the win here.

Betting: Team Spirit to win at 1.48 odds. (GGbet)
