LoL Worlds 2018 Odds: Top 10 Teams Poised to Win

With the Summer Split now nearly over, it’s time that we start speculating which team will win the Worlds this year, and that means diving neck deep into the LoL Worlds 2018 Odds.

For those ont in the know, the League of Legends World Championships 2018 is one of the, if not the, biggest esprots event around the globe this year. It’s where the best LoL teams in the world duke it out for honor and prestige to find out who the best of the best truly is.

Having said that, we’ll be using the LoL Worlds 2018 odds from ArcaneBet to lay down which teams have the greatest chances of taking home the crowd this year.

Korean and Chinese teams are all over the top shots, while the EU LCS has a sole warrior in Fnatic in the list. The NA LCS is nowhere to be found, which is quite troubling for the region. Team Liquid is way down in the 14th place, which really isn’t a good look for the region, to put it rather lightly.

One oddity that stands out in the LoL Worlds 2018 Odds top 10 teams is that Chinese teams are way up in there.

Unlike previous years, Korea doesn’t have a complete monopoly over the international event, and there seems to be uncertainty in the air as to which region is that dominant one.

From what we’ve seen, Chinese teams have really taken off this year. They’ve won both the international events we’ve had so far, which are MSI and Rift Rivals. IG and RNG are two extremely powerful candidates for the world cup, and perhaps the only teams that can stand up to them are kt Rolster, Griffin and Kingzone.

Korea’s chances look even bleaker because of that, because only one between Griffin and Kingzone will be attending Worlds this year.

The Teams Aren’t Locked In Yet

For most regions, it’s still undecided as to which teams will be playing in Worlds 2018, so the LoL Worlds 2018 Odds will likely still change in the coming days.

Even so, it’s quite obvious that eastern teams still dominate the scene when it comes to raw predictions. However, there are some new teams in the international LoL scene which we haven’t seen before – like Vitality. We’ve yet to see what those new teams bring to the table, since it’s impossible to predict what they’ll do based on their history (which is non-existent in terms of international games).

Last year we saw Misfits almost take down SKT. There’s no telling if underrated regions might take off again in a similar style to last year. Vitality have shown that they can absolutely dominate when they’re in form, and it’s been a while since Fnatic looked so good. Who knows … perhaps even NA might pull off a miracle this year!

Even Korea is offering whole new teams to Worlds this year with kt Rolster and Afreeca Freecs on the forefront. If Griffin do manage to win the LCK regionals, they’ll have a completely different team combination than they’ve had in recent years.

It’s only a matter of time before we see what these regions are capable of, so make sure to stay tuned for a full ranking of the teams that are qualified for Worlds 2018!
