With the most unexpected, epic finish to LoL Worlds 2017 Group Stage Day 5, the task of analysing the odds for tomorrow looks way more challenging now. Nevertheless, we here at Esportsranks always do our best to make sense out of all this mess. So, without further ado, here’s our betting analysis for Day 6
G2 vs. RNG
Just like FNC, G2 Esports need to start winning if they want to join Fnatic in the quarterfinals. They finished 1-2 during the first round. However, compared to Fnatic’s group, G2 Esports is arguably in the toughest group of all.
Both Samsung Galaxy (#3 LCK) and Royal Never Give Up (#2 LPL) have established domination over their group during the first round of the LoL Worlds 2017 Group Stage. G2 lost against both of them, and the prospect of beating either one of them now doesn’t look that bright.
On the other hand, we’ve just seen what happened in group B. Fnatic murked IMT and GAM, so why wouldn’t G2 Esports be able to replicate at least part of that success? G2 Esports is at 10/1 to qualify from their group. Both Samsung Galaxy and especially Fenerbahçe look beatable, while Royal Never Give Up could certainly slip in at least one of their games.
SSG vs. FB
Despite the lengthy first game (48 minutes!), I don’t see a way for Fenerbahçe to win this second time around. Samsung is too good despite all their weaknesses. Expect them to come in better prepared this time, so total kills scored under 16.5 at evens looks quite promising.
SSG vs. G2
This is the game to look out for. G2 will be desperate for a win here. SSG needs a win as well. I’d say it would still end up being a quick game, so total kills scored under 18.5 at evens makes sense. However, expect G2 Esports to come out swinging, which is why I’d personally choose G2 to draw first blood at 11/10.
FB vs. RNG
This could easily be a do or die game for Fenerbahçe. On the other hand, RNG can afford a loss, especially if they beat G2 in the opening game. In their first game, RNG pressure-snowballed Fenerbahçe into the late game loss. Fenerbahçe has shown enough to warrant them drawing first blood at 5/4 at least.
Fenerbahçe is also at 4/1 to win, but it seems certainly way too risky to go for it at the moment.
FB vs. G2
This is the matchup that can go either way. Both teams will look to get a win. G2 Esports has much better chances at both winning and securing quarterfinals spot, but Fenerbahçe can still have some hopes if they manage to get to a tiebreaker.
G2 won in their first game by completely dominating the Turkish champions. Due to the one-sided victory, I’d say the safest bet her is total kills scored under 18.5 at 4/5.
RNG vs. SSG
Depending on how things unfold, RNG will likely be less invested in winning this last game of the day than SSG. SSG is at 4/5 to win, which looks very good right off the bat. Total number of kills under 19.5 at evens looks quite appealing too.
We’ve been taught a lesson today. That’s why it would be prudent to go with safer options for tomorrow. Total number of kills is likely the most viable market, while everything else should take a backseat. Tread carefully.
