Are You Ready for the DreamLeague Season 9 Minor?

Now in its 9th season, DreamHack’s DreamLeague tournaments have always been a must-watch. Not only because of the quality of the competition, but also because of the tournament’s high level of production. The DreamLeague Season 9 Minor will likely not be an exception.

Having said that, the DreamLeague Season 9 Minor will differ from its predecessors in a few ways. For one, there are now direct invites. Also, DreamHack decided to deviate from their league play style qualifiers this time around, opting for something more traditional.

With Team Secret and Team Liquid now announced as the direct invites, all we can do now is to wait for which Dota 2 teams will emerge from their respective Regional Qualifiers to join both teams in the LAN Finals of the DreamLeague Season 9 Minor.

The Regional Qualifiers are set to take place sometime between February 13 to March 4, depending on the region. The Regional Qualifiers will feature 3 directly invited teams, as well as 1 Open Qualifier winner. The 4 teams will then face off in a double-elimination best-of-three bracket to determine who will get a spot in the LAN Finals. Only one team from each region will advance and qualify for the Minor.

DreamHack have yet to reveal information regarding the exact format for the LAN Finals of the DreamLeague Season 9 Minor.
