FIWC Europe Qualifiers Day 4 – Deto and AFC Ajax Dani Progress

The penultimate day of the FIWC Europe qualifiers have come and gone and boy did we have it all. From high scoring games, to low scoring games, new records, elation and disappointment, it all happened on day for. Deto and AFC Ajax Dani eventually came out as overall winners of their division, and with that have received their tickets to the grand finals in London. See how it all went down in the FIWC Europe Qualifiers Day 4 below.

FIWC Europe Qualifiers Day 4 – Group Stage

Xbox

Name Points Goals For Goals Against Difference
Epsilon Fully 12 8 3 5
AFC AJAX Dani 7 13 10 3
A_HugeDragon_X 7 10 9 1
Zac11Moore 1 6 10 -4
Stop Hitmarker 1 7 12 -5

Epsilon Fully absolutely smashed his group, winning all 4 games. He is the first player to do this so far at the FIWC Europe Qualifiers. In a group stacked with talent, any one of the top three could’ve come out on top. AFC Ajax sponsored Dani came second, with Sean Allen, more popularly known as A_HugeDragon_X, coming in third. The stage was set for at least one exciting semifinal match.

PS4

Name Points Goals For Goals Against Difference
PSG Agge 10 6 1 5
Deto 7 5 4 1
Fredberg 5 6 6 0
Vfl Salz0r 4 8 6 2
Assiakevin 1 2 10 -8

In a more closely contested group, favourite PSG Agge came out on top. While not blessed with many high scoring games, the semifinal match between PSG sponsored Agge, and Vfl Wolfsburg sponsored Salz0r, was one everyone wanted to watch. Deto, part of the strong German contingent, and Fredberg, the 2nd Dane in the group, would face off in the second semifinal.

FIWC Europe Qualifiers Day 4 – Finals

Xbox Final – AFC Ajax Dani vs. Zac11Moore

Zac11Moore pulled out a stunning upset over Epsilon Fully in the semis to reach the finals. Dani himself had an interesting semi coming from behind in the second game to score enough goals to reach the finals.

AFC Ajax Dani took the first game by the score of 2-0. Could this be the end of Zac11Moore’s fairytale? The second match would hold the key.

The first half of the second game was a dull affair, ending 0-0. Not much happened until the perennial 65th minute tactic changes that we’ve seen a lot this week. Dani scored soon after and everyone knew the tie was over. Heartbreak for Zac11Moore as he travels back to his native Wales.

Game 1: AFC Ajax Dani 2 – Zac11Moore 0

Game 2: AFC Ajax Dani 1 – Zac11Moore 0

AFC Ajax Dani wins the divisional title and advances to the FIWC London Grand Finals.

PS4 Final – PSG Agge vs. Deto

PSG Agge started the day as the clear favourite, so it is no surprise we found him in the finals. Deto, a relative unknown, made the finals in convincing fashion, scoring 6 goals to his opponent’s 2 in the semis.

Due to yet another live stream problem, we join the match in the 69th minute, where Deto was leading 3-0. I repeat, 3-0. After we picked up our collective jaws from the floor, we saw PSG Agge awarded a penalty, which he immediately converted with Suarez. A surprising 3-1 is how the first game ended.

As the second match kicked off, PSG Agge knew he had to push to find the 2 goals that he needed to progress. Surprisingly, his setup in the first half didn’t look like it was set for an all out assault. He started with the relatively unknown 5-2-2-1 formation. The first half ended with Agge with just 1 shot, on target, and Deto with 0. The 65th minute showed Deto switching to 5 in the back and putting his tactics to more defensive. Deto killed the tie with an expert thru ball that beat the offiside trap and a simple ground pass from the flank which Ronaldo expertly tapped in from close range. Deto beat all the odds to claim the PS4 division title at the FIWC Europe Qualifiers day 4.

Game 1: PSG Agge 1 – Deto 3

Game 2: PSG Agge 0 – Deto 1

Deto wins the divisional title and advances to the FIWC London Grand Finals.
