Evil Geniuses Dota 2 Roster Welcome Fly and S4

The Evil Geniuses Dota 2 roster is now finally complete with the addition of former OG members, Tal ‘Fly‘ Aizik and Gustav ‘s4‘ Magnusson.

On May 28, 2018, Evil Geniuses confirmed what was already on everyone’s mind after their last-place finish at ESL One Birmingham 2018. They first let go of their team captain Rasmus ‘MISERY‘ Filipsen. Just moments later, Clinton ‘Fear’ Loomis confirmed that he was also stepping down from the roster.

With two glaring holes in their roster, as well as the China Dota 2 Super Major and the TI Qualifiers just days away, time was definitely not on Evil Geniuses’ side.

Evil Geniuses Dota 2 Roster Now Complete

Fans of Evil Geniuses can now rest easy knowing that the North American organization was able to find worthy replacements for MISERY and Fear.

Fly is one of the founding members of OG and has helped the team win four Valve Major championships. This is a record that OG shares only with Virtus.Pro. Meanwhile, s4 is one of the most decorated players in all of Dota 2. He was part of the Alliance roster that won The International 2013. He also has two Major titles under his belt during his two-year tenure with OG.

While the Evil Geniuses Dota 2 roster is new on paper, it shouldn’t take too long for them to build chemistry. Artour ‘Arteezy‘ Babaev and s4 has already spent a significant amount of time playing together with Team Secret a few years ago. Both Fly and Cr1t- were also part of the original OG squad that won two out of three Valve Majors during their inaugural season in 2015-16.

Only Syed Sumail ‘SumaiL‘ Hassan has not spent time playing with either one of Fly or s4. However, that should not be a problem; the 19-year-old will now go back to his original position in the middle lane to make room for s4 in the offlane.

Having said that, this Evil Geniuses Dota 2 roster is looking terrifying on paper. It might just be exactly what the organization needs to salvage their otherwise lackluster season.
