The 2-week break is behind us, the wait is finally over! With just a few hours left till the official start here’s Esportsranks EU LCS 2017 Summer Split Week 6 preview!
The stage is set for both groups to experience some shuffling.
Group A has more potential for shifts in the middle, with Fnatic firmly at the top, while Group B still has 3 teams fighting for the top spot.

NIP vs. VIT
With two weeks to get their act together and prepare for the upcoming second half of the split, Ninjas in Pyjamas will face a perfect opponent in Team Vitality.
Vitality holds wins over ROCCAT and Mysterious Monkeys, two teams that already defeated NIP in the first five weeks.
However, the “who-beat-who” math rarely works out, especially with wildcard teams such as NIP. They’ve demonstrated they can parry anyone head-to-head.
Still, it is macro-plays that NIP gets beat at. They’re often times all over the place, their teamplay, coordination and communication are all their weak points.
If they managed to improve during these two weeks, we can expect an upset here. Otherwise, this is a straightforward win for Vitality.
WINNER PREDICTION: Vitality has too much experience to lose this
ROC vs. H2K
H2K is not a team to allow any upsets against ROCCAT. We’ve all seen ROCCAT’s almost impossible victory against Fnatic.
Unfortunately, everybody is now aware of ROCCAT’s shenanigans. H2K, by far the most consistent team this summer, will make sure to prevent the same from happening to them.
The only question is whether ROCCAT can make this series go the distance.
WINNER PREDICTION: H2K

SPY vs. G2
Now, this is one of the series to look out for this week.
Splyce need a win to remain near the top and have a smooth ride towards playoffs.
G2 need a win to have better chances at snatching those privileges away from Splyce.
Judging by G2’s level of play so far, they’re in for a tough ride. Splyce has looked incredible against Unicorns of Love in Week 3. G2, on the other hand, has had a tough period so far, especially evident by their abysmal Rift Rivals run.
A factor that might come into play is G2’s continuous stage participation, while Splyce took a two-week hiatus from the scene.
However, it could very well backfire – G2 might legitimately be burned from all the fighting, and Splyce just might be the first in line to capitalize on that!
WINNER PREDICTION: Splyce with 2:1
MSF vs. UOL
Now, if Splyce managed to defeat UOL, so can Misfits. Their chances depend more on UOL than on themselves though.
It’s really hard to gauge where UOL stand mentally after the embarrassing defeat at Rift Rivals Finals against TSM. They have shown deficiencies in consistency and discipline anyway – Rift Rivals might’ve just pushed them over the top, tumbling down the hill.
On the other hand, Misfits have shown they’re still not at the level of Fnatic and H2K, so UOL is definitely a favourite in this matchup.
WINNER PREDICTION: Unicorns… if they keep their heads cool
EU LCS 2017 Summer Split Week 6, Day 3 (July 15)
ROC vs. MM
If Mysterious Monkeys want to escape the bottom of the bracket, ROCCAT and Vitality are the teams to beat.
First up is ROCCAT. A team that has shown to be able to shoot way above their limits, they’ve been unable to hit their stride so far. Defeating NIP is almost irrelevant, while their victory over FNC in Week 3 has been a singular anomaly amongst all their defeats.
Mysterious Monkeys need a second win and they need it fast. If they can minimise the number of mistakes and misplays they make in each game, they’re ready to defeat ROCCAT.
The break might’ve been just what they needed to return better than ever.
WINNER PREDICTION: MM – I’m feeling it
FNC vs. VIT
Despite the recipe to defeat FNC has been revealed several times so far, especially in their recent Rift Rivals run, Vitality is hardly a team capable of such an upset.
Still, even ROCCAT was able to surprise FNC. Who are we to say Vitality can’t?
Realistically though, FNC got this one in the bag already.
WINNER PREDICTION: FNC
