The ESL One Mumbai 2019 lower bracket final will be a rematch between Natus Vincere and Keen Gaming.
These two Dota 2 teams have already met earlier in the tournament, with the CIS-based Natus Vincere pulling off the huge upset against the heavily favoured Keen Gaming in three games. Since then, Keen Gaming have made their way through the lower brackets of ESL One Mumbai 2019. En route, they’ve eliminated the likes of The Pango and TNC Predator, the latter of which looked like they just couldn’t match the late-game prowess of the Chinese side.
Heading into their rematch against Natus Vincere in the ESL One Mumbai 2019 lower bracket final, Keen Gaming are starting to look more like the powerhouse that many expected them to be prior to the tournament.
They are exhibiting an uncanny ability to adjust from series to series. So far, they’ve thrown a variety of looks in every game. They’ve also won both early and late. That’s a problem for Natus Vincere, who, despite their undeniable skill and chemistry as a group, have a reputation for being a bit one-dimensional.
ESL One Mumbai 2019 Lower Bracket Final Betting Odds
As per the oddsmakers over at 10bet, Keen Gaming are, once again, the heavy favourites to win at 1.28 odds. However, the last time these two Dota 2 teams met, that was also the case, and we now know how that turned out.
At 3.45 odds to win outright, putting money on Natus Vincere feels like a safe risk. Because, even though they did lose to Mineski, it’s not like they just folded over and gave the win. Natus Vincere fought tooth and nail the entire series, even winning the one game that went past the hour-mark. Of course, that’s until you consider that, even though Keen Gaming lost in their initial matchup against Natus Vincere, the fact remains that the Chinese possess superior early-game execution and team play.
Natus Vincere will have to hope that Keen Gaming didn’t learn from their previous mistakes, which is highly unlikely.
Prediction for the ESL One Mumbai 2019 Lower Bracket Final
Make no mistake, this Natus Vincere lineup, whether it’s with Akbar ‘SoNNeikO‘ Butaev and Mikhail ‘Misha‘ Agatov, have some serious potential and could potentially challenge for deep runs in both Minors and Majors if they can find a way to play well consistently.
Unfortunately, from what we’ve seen so far, Natus Vincere are just aren’t there yet. It also doesn’t help their case that they dependent on Idan ‘MagicaL‘ Vardania having a good game to win most of the time. On the other hand, Keen Gaming have other tools at their disposal. Not to mention, their players have far more experience playing under pressure.
When you consider those factors and how Keen Gaming most likely have already planned how to neutralize MagicaL’s impact on the game for their rematch tomorrow, it’s easy to see why it’s worth risking a sweep going in Keen Gaming’s favour.
Betting: Keen Gaming -1.5 on Spread Full Time at 2.11 odds via 10bet.
