The Group B matches in the ESEA are going to be very predictable, because except for eXtatus, the other teams have little or no experience at LAN events. This will be the first LAN event attended by the current rosters of Ghost Academy and GX. This means, in short, that eXtatus will certainly qualify for the Playoffs, as they are likely to dominate this group.
The ESEA – SoaR Gaming Vs Ghost Academy
The first match in Group B is between SoaR Gaming and Ghost Academy. Both these teams are quite inexperienced at LAN events. Ghost Academy have played fifteen online matches, winning nine of them. Their current win rate is sixty percent. Soar Gaming have played an of overall sixty two matches, and their forty wins give them a win rate of sixty four percent. While the win rates are about equal, SoaR have the upper hand in experience here.
An almost-sure win for SoaR Gaming
Out of seven maps Ghost Gaming show proficiency in just two, which is poor when compared to SoaR Gaming, who are good in six maps. These teams have faced each other once before, in an online best of three, and SoaR Gaming utterly dominated the series. However, Ghost Academy were able to drag one of the matches into overtime. While the odds favor SoaR, it is not a sure win, as the match is a best of one, and if Ghost Gaming happen to maneuver into one of their best maps, they could beat the odds. However, a stake on SoaR would not be out of place.
The ESEA – eXtatus Vs GX
There really is no team in this group that could beat eXtatus. They are the most experienced team here when it comes to both online and offline matches. They have played thirty nine LAN matches, and won twenty eight of them. Their current win rate is seventy two percent in offline matches, and sixty six percent overall. On the other hand, GX are a newly founded esports organization. GX have participated in twenty nine matches, with a win rate of just forty eight percent. This will be their first ever LAN event with their current roster.
It’s obvious that eXtatus dominates here
There is not a single map in which GX could win against eXtatus. GX’s best map is Inferno, with a sixty percent win rate, and eXtatus dominate them even here, with a seventy one percent win rate. GX cannot even dominate eXtatus on eXtatus’ worst map, which is Train. GX have a thirty percent win rate in Train, to eXtatus’ fifty five percent. With the odds running at 1.24 on eXtatus, a stake placed on them will yield sure winnings.
