EPICENTER Semi Finals – Crucial Betting Predictions

Eight teams participated in the EPICENTER Group Matches. Out of those, just two teams were from America, and only one has qualified for the Playoffs.

And that team is none other than SK Gaming. They defeated FaZe Clan to reach the Semi Finals.

There’s no doubt that there are a lot of expectations riding on SK Gaming at this event.

Another team that defeated FaZe Clan to enter the Semifinals is Virtus.pro. Defeating super team ‘FaZe Clan’ is no easy task. Virtus.pro did something similar when they defeated Ninjas in Pyjamas and ended their 87-0 streak in LAN matches.

None of the qualified teams are weak, and each has shown strong plays in the run-ups to the Playoffs. These matches are all going to be tough.

EPICENTER Predictions – SK Gaming vs Astralis

(28th October, 2017 – 13:00 MSK)

SK Gaming and Astralis faced each other at four events this year. Their first encounter was at the StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 3. There, Astralis defeated SK Gaming in ‘Train’ 16:12. Next they faced each other at the Intel Extreme Masters Season XII, in Sydney. This time it was SK Gaming who won against Astralis 16:12, but the map was ‘Inferno’.

These two teams met again at the Finals of Esports Championship Series Season 3. It was a Bo3 battle, and Astralis won the first match (Overpass – 16:12). Both the remaining matches were won by SK Gaming – Mirage (16:14) and Inferno (16:12).

Their most recent battles were at the PGL Major Kraków 2017. First they met in a Bo1 match, where SK Gaming dominated Astralis 16:8 in Inferno. Later they met again at the same event in a Bo3 battle. There Astralis paid back SK Gaming by winning the first two matches in a Bo3, 16:12 and 16:6.

SK Gaming’s win-rate –50% per match and 49% per round

Astralis’ win-rate – 50% per match and 51% per round

Their matches have never gone into overtime.

SK Gaming have, of course, added “boltz” to their roster, and Astralis will have to deal with that. With that addition, SK Gaming are now a redoubtable team. Will these changes make any difference to the match? It seems “boltz” has more experience as compared to “felps”. “Boltz” has played 180 matches more than “felps”! And his overall rating is also higher than “felps”.

Astralis does have a 20% greater chance of winning in Bo3 matches against SK Gaming.

The odds are 8/11 on SK Gaming – Go ahead and put something on them…
