Predicting 3rd place
Astralis vs G2 Esports
(29th October, 2017 – 11:30 MSK)
Astralis and G2 Esports played against each other in the Group B openings matches. Astralis were defeated quite easily by G2 Esports. G2 Esports won match 1 – Cache (16:13), even though Astralis did very well in the first half as Terrorists. G2 Esports showed some awesome game-play in the second half, and defeated Astralis. In the second match, in Inferno, G2 Esports won by an incredible 16:4.
G2 Esports’ win-rate – 88% per match and 65% per round
Astralis’s win-rate – 12% per match and 35% per round
Astralis have always found it difficult to deal with G2 Esports. Since the last Season of the ESL Pro league, Astralis have won only once against G2 Esports. G2 Esports is very likely to win here.

Predicting the Finals
SK Gaming vs Virtus.pro
(29th October, 2017 – 14:30 MSK)
After being beaten badly in the Group matches by SK Gaming, Virtus.pro now has a chance at the ultimate revenge. What could be better than competing against them in Bo5 matches in the Finals? Yes, the Finals are going to be Bo5 matches. This means that out of seven selected maps – Cache, Cobblestone, Inferno, Mirage, Nuke, Overpass and Train, five will be selected for actual combat. Everyone knows that it is near to impossible to beat SK Gaming in Mirage and Overpass, and with ‘boltz’ with them they have covered Train as well.
On the other hand Virtus.pro also have their strengths – they are performing very well in Cache and Inferno. Both the teams have their strengths and weaknesses.
SK Gaming’s win-rate – 61% per match and 73% per round
Virtus.pro’s win-rate – 39% per match and 27% per round
It is obvious that SK Gaming are the choice for the day. They didn’t just defeat Virtus.pro in the Group A opening matches, they crushed them utterly. Anyone who has watched those matches knows quite definitely who is most likely to win here.
On the other hand, SK Gaming have upset their fans many times by losing to teams much inferior to them. This time they do show a lot of promise – with ‘boltz’, you might say they have the potential to grow into a ‘super-team’ like FaZe. The only way SK Gaming could lose here is if they were betting on the other team.
The odds are 1/3 on SK Gaming! Good odds for a reasonably sure bet…
