DreamLeague Season 8 League Play – Who’s a Sure Win Today?

With Team Empire and Vega Squadron both now already officially eliminated from contention at the Europe and CIS DreamLeague Season 8 League Play, we’re now technically left with just 6 teams fighting it out for the 4 spots allotted to both regions combined.

With that said, let’s take a look at the matches scheduled for later today to see which teams are the best bets.

Team Liquid vs OG

OG may be in a slump, but, there’s still too much talent on the roster to make them worth betting on, even when they’re up against the reigning TI champions.

Betting: OG to draw at 2.2 odds (ggbet)

Team Empire vs Team Liquid

I’d recommend that you skip this series as Team Empire are already technically eliminated from the DreamLeague Season 8 League Play. However, at 12 odds, as per ggbet, to go 2-0 against Team Liquid, you could make bank if you think they’re worth the risk.

Risky bet: Team Empire to go 2-0 at 12 odds (ggbet)

Team Secret vs MidorFeed

At 11 odds to go 2-0, as per ggbet, MidorFeed are talented enough of a cast to sweep Team Secret. But, that’s only if they can pull it together, which they haven’t exactly show any sign of doing since their formation.

Team Secret aren’t immune to upsets, but it’s hard to imagine them dropping a single map to MidorFeed. Although you might want to reconsider MidorFeed since they are at 2.75 odds to draw the series, as per ggbet.

Betting: Team Secret to go 2-0 at 1.44 odds (ggbet)

DreamLeague Season 8 League Play

For this year, the qualifiers for the DreamLeague Season 8 LAN Finals will deviate from its usual league play format to conform to Valve’s Pro Circuit guidelines. However, DreamHack still managed to find a way to squeeze in their traditional league play qualifiers. Albeit, only for Europe and CIS.

The DreamLeague Major also stands out from the other Pro Circuit LANs in that there are no direct invites. Instead, 4 teams will make their way to the LAN Finals via the DreamLeague Season 8 League Play for Europe and CIS. Meanwhile, the rest will come from the other competitive regions: North America, South America, Southeast Asia and China.

The ROG DreamLeague Season 8 Major will feature an 8-team lineup and a $1,000,000 prize pool. The LAN Finals will take place on December 1-4 in Jönköping, Sweden.
