After a month-long hiatus, the ROG DreamLeague Season 8 EU and CIS online qualifiers are finally set to resume. And this time around, the matches will keep on coming nearly every day until the 4 qualifier teams are crowned on November 16.
Below, you’ll find our carefully crafted analyses and betting predictions for the ROG DreamLeague Season 8 EU/CIS online qualifier matches scheduled for later today (November 6) and tomorrow (November 7).
Vega Squadron vs MidorFeed
Match Schedule: 18:30 CET (November 6)
Vega Squadron has looked like a different squad since Airat ‘Silent’ Gaziev left the roster for Team Empire and not in a good way. Although arguably still perennial contenders, they don’t look like the sort that’s immune to being upset by the likes of Troels ‘syndereN’ Nielsen and MidorFeed.
Betting: MidorFeed to win 2nd Map at 2.15 (ggbet)
Team Empire vs Natus Vincere
Match Schedule: 21:00 CET (November 6)
After securing two straight LAN berths, Natus Vincere’s latest lineup has mellowed. On the other hand, based on their recent results, the addition of Silent has only made Team Empire stronger. Considering that they were 3-3 against the black-and-yellow prior to Silent joining the team, it’s not too far off to expect them to go 2-0 against Natus Vincere this time around.
Betting: Team Empire to win Map 1 and Map 2 at 4/6 (bet365)
Team Empire vs Team Secret
Match Schedule: 17:00 CET (November 7)
This is Team Empire’s first chance to prove that they have a legitimate shot to become a Tier 1 team this season. Unfortunately, they’ll probably fall short, especially since Clement ‘Puppey‘ Ivanov has always had a penchant for figuring out patches quickly.
Still, given their recent showing at the Captains Draft CIS Qualifiers, it’s worth betting on Team Empire to take at least a map off of Team Secret.
Betting: Team Empire to win 1st Map / 2nd Map at 2.46 (ggbet)
Vega Squadron vs Team Secret
Match Schedule: 19:30 CET (November 7)
At 3.2 odds to take at least a map off, it’s tempting to bet on Vega Squadron to cheese a win against Team Secret. However, to keep things safe, I’d recommend betting on Team Secret to go 2-0 entirely
Betting: Team Secret to win 1st Map and 2nd Map at 1.3 (ggbet)
Virtus Pro vs MidorFeed
Match Schedule: 22:00 (November 7)
Save for their loss against Team Empire at the PGL Minor CIS Qualifiers, the bears haven’t lost a match that they’re heavily favoured to win. So, don’t expect them to start dropping “free” games anytime soon. Although if you’re really keen on taking a risk, betting on MidorFeed to take at least a game off at 4.03 odds isn’t half-bad.
Betting: Virtus Pro to win 1st Map / 2nd Map at 1.2 (ggbet)
ROG DreamLeague Season 8 EU/CIS Standings
ESL One Hamburg Champions, Virtus Pro, currently pace the competition with 5 wins and just 1 loss, followed closely by OG and their 4-2 win-loss record. Rounding up the Top 4 are Team Empire and Natus Vincere, who each have won 3 and 2 games respectively. Meanwhile, both Vega Squadron and MidorFeed find themselves at the bottom with just 1 win each.
Both Team Secret and Team Liquid have yet to play a game.
