DreamLeague Season 10 Day 5 Preview: Odds, Analyses, Predictions - Esportsranks
DreamLeague Season 10 Day 5 Preview: Odds, Analyses, Predictions

With the first day of the playoffs now over, we now head on over to DreamLeague Season 10 Day 5, where compLexity Gaming, Infamous, Vega Squadron, and Natus Vincere will all be fighting for their tournament lives and a chance to move on deeper into the tournament.

Surprisingly enough, Vega Squadron are still in the tournament. After not having won a single game all tournament long, they somehow found a way to pull off a win against The Final Tribe. But, whether or not that’s because of The Final Tribe’s streaky nature, or them finally finding their form is up to debate. Although we’re probably learning more towards the former. The way they took out The Final Tribe wasn’t exactly what you’d call pretty.

Speaking of teams finding their form, Royal Never Give Up continue to surprise.

A common theme in their games so far this tournament was their lack of early-game execution. No one can deny their skill.  Their late-game play is also top-notch, if not the best in the tournament. However, digging yourself a hole isn’t exactly a viable strategy for winning games, especially up against much better teams.

Surprisingly, Royal Never Give Up seem past that now. compLexity Gaming looked like they faced a totally different team as they were eliminated by a more aggressive Royal Never Give Up squad in relatively quick fashion in Games 2 and 3.

In any case, DreamLeague Season 10 Day 5 is coming soon, and below are our picks for the two matches that will happen tomorrow.

DreamLeague Season 10 Day 5 Predictions

Infamous vs compLexity Gaming

DreamLeague Season 10 Day 5

Consistently inconsistent, compLexity Gaming may end up dropping one game against Infamous if they’re not too careful. (DreamHack Dota)

Match Schedule: November 2, 2018 — 1330H CET

It’s always a mystery what a team with Jacky ‘EternaLEnVy’ Mao are going to do next, which is partly why he’s such a polarizing player to watch.

This is also the same reason why we’re hesitant on going all in on compLexity Gaming.

At 1.26 odds to win, compLexity Gaming are definitely heavy favourites. However, they’re inconsistent enough to drop a single game to Infamous. This isn’t to say that it’s definitely going to happen, but there is a chance, and when that happens, you don’t want to be caught not having placed your faith on compLexity Gaming.

Betting: Correct Score 2:0 (IN MAPS) at 1.96 odds. (GGbet)

Vega Squadron vs Natus Vincere

DreamLeague Season 10 Day 5

Scrappy and with loads of potential, this Natus Vincere squad may lack star power but they have all the makings of a team capable of making some serious noise. (Natus Vincere)

Match Schedule: November 2, 2018 — 1630H CET

Vega Squadron have done well to reach this point, but this is something that we haven’t seen before already.

In their earlier matchup, Vega Squadron struggled a lot against Natus Vincere. Nothing that has happened since then is enough to convince arguably anyone that they’ve changed. Sure, they eliminated The Final Tribe from the tournament, but the All-Swedish squad led by Adrian ‘Era‘ Kryeziu aren’t exactly known for their consistency.

There’s very little chance that Vega Squadron will lose tomorrow. If they do manage to pull off an upset, then it’ll be a bittersweet moment for Danil ‘Dendi‘ Ishutin, who spent his entire Dota 2 career as of yet with Natus Vincere. However, there’s just so many things that has to go right for them to do that, while Natus Vincere only need to keep on playing the same way they’ve had all tournament long, with small improvements, to win.

Betting: Correct Score (In Maps) 2:0 in favor of Natus Vincere at 2.18 odds. (GGbet)
