DreamLeague Season 10 Day 4: Odds, Analyses, Predictions

Three days of action have led to this as we head on over to DreamLeague Season 10 Day 4, with four Lower Bracket teams facing elimination and a spot in top three on the line for the lone Upper Bracket matchup of the day.

The lack of a solid Tier 1 team with Team Liquid backing out of the tournament has resulted into a relatively even competitive field. Because of this, the first Minor of the 2018-19 Dota Pro Circuit has gone exactly as most would expect from a tournament filled with Tier 2 teams. Though full of head scratching decisions and boneheaded misplays, it’s been fun to watch these up-and-coming teams battle against each other so far.

Now that we’re headed into the playoffs, expect the action to ramp up. While these teams won’t significantly improve their level of play all of a sudden, the heightened stakes should lead to better quality of play. That’s a huge win for us viewers, and for those who are looking to make banks on the matches going forward.

Having said that, here are our picks for DreamLeague Season 10 Day 4.

DreamLeague Season 10 Day 4 Predictions

Infamous vs ROONS

DreamLeague Season 10 Day 4

With so much more to lose for them as a team, Infamous are favoured to eliminate ROONS tomorrow in their matchup. (Infamous Gaming)

Match Schedule: November 1, 2018 — 1030H CET

A battle between two of the biggest underdogs in the tournament, it’s been fun watching these two try and exceed expectations. However, even though these two teams are even in terms of skill, one of them is a team that’s built to be competitive while the other is a team of friends who took advantage of the lack of competition to qualify for a DPC tournament.

No offense to ROONS, but it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to tell that they are a meme team.

That alone is reason enough to believe that Infamous are going to win this series.

Betting: Correct Score 2:0 (IN MAPS) in favour of Infamous at 1.79 odds. (GGbet)

The Final Tribe vs Vega Squadron

DreamLeague Season 10 Day 4

Pontus ‘Frost’ Frost has certainly proven his worth as a carry during his time on The Final Tribe. (The Final Tribe)

Match Schedule: November 1, 2018 — 1330H CET

If there’s one thing we’re sure of when it comes to The Final Tribe, it’s that their chemistry and play are on point. It’s their late-game execution that needs a lot of work.

Luckily, The Final Tribe have a chance to breathe easy against Vega Squadron, who are just struggling to find their form and are playing with a stand-in — kudos to Danil ‘Dendi‘ Ishutin for playing well given the circumstances.

Having won zero games so far, it’s fair to expect Vega Squadron to exit the tournament with zero wins to their name, courtesy of The Final Tribe.

Betting: Correct Score 2:0 (IN MAPS) in favor of The Final Tribe at 2.67 odds. (GGbet)

compLexity Gaming vs Royal Never Give Up

DreamLeague Season 10 Day 4

Easily one of the most surprising roster pickups this offseason, Skem should only continue to improve the more he’s able to play with the rest of compLexity Gaming. (Complexity Gaming)

Match Schedule: November 1, 2018 — 1630H CET

Royal Never Give Up may be a lot more inconsistent than most people expected them to be, but boy do they know how to play late in the game.

That’s probably owing to the fact that, by that time, it’s the cores who are doing most of the shot-calling, and given that their supports aren’t exactly native Chinese, their early game communication could do with some improvements.

Up against compLexity Gaming, they’ll hope to have minimized such issues by then. Because, unlike The Final Tribe, Jacky ‘EternaLEnVy‘ Mao’s squad have shown that they know how to close out games. One could even go as far as to say that they’ve been the best team in the tournament so far, evidenced by them having yet to drop a single game. In addition to this, they’re only bound to get better as the tournament goes on as they get more chances to acclimate more to having Rolen Andrei Gabriel ‘Skemberlu‘ Ong on their roster.

While we can expect a tightly contested series, we do think that compLexity Gaming are the more likely to walk away as the victors here.

Betting: compLexity Gaming to win at 1.7 odds. (GGbet)
