Dota2 true sight

Have you ever wondered what goes on in the players’ booths during LAN events? What do team captains think about during the drafts? How do teams recuperate and reset after a defeat or victory? How important is team chemistry and personal relations between players? Dota2 True sight is just for you.

An all new episode of True Sight is now available on the Dota2 official youtube channel. Prior to The Kiev Major finals, two competing teams OG and Virtus.Pro were mic’d up and filmed in the booths. The camera followed two teams during breaks in between games.

This all-access level of coverage follows players from their ready rooms directly into the booths. You will gain new insight into the mind games, battle of wits behind the draft, the role of coaches, and how teams regroup in the aftermath of both defeat and victory. You will witness how significant team chemistry actually is, including motivational speeches, contemplating strategy, but also constructive criticism along with many more factors required to build a top tier team.

The Dota2 true sight video also shows the importance of the draft phase and just how delicate and responsible the role of team captain is. In the deciding game 5 you can see how each pick and ban affects the draft, but also that despite a strong early game, the score is just a score, and if you don’t realise your advantage into getting objectives, you are giving your opponent a chance to comeback into the game.

In the final game, the teams already knew their opponent’s crucial picks. This led to Virtus.Pro banning Terrorblade straight away. Since the whole series had been all about the teamfights, Warlock was one of the most contested pick. OG decide to firstpick Treant, and VP took Legion Commander+Warlock. OG responded with a Dazzle pick to try and counter a LC duel.

In the second round of bans OG got rid of Ursa and SF, while Virtus.Pro banned Enigma and Slark. The Slark ban was targeted to enable an Alchemst pick in the next round, since Slark counters him heavily. In the next round of picks, OG took Centaur, while along with Alch, VP picked up Enchantress – bit of a surprise pick. OG’s Ana picked troll for strong midlane push, and Notail took Timber for more lane shoving and Alch counter. Virtus.Pro took OD for their last pick, adding another lockdown to their team composition.

The thrill and beauty of Dota2 comebacks

Strong skirmishing composition and presence of Enchantress allowed Virtus.Pro to dominate early game and get a significant kill advantage. They looked fantastic but OG’s picks allowed them a strong lane shove and splitpushing. They patiently waited for their opportunity and after two successful teamfights, Troll completely recovered and eventually became too much to handle.

While you know who reigns supreme over The Major tournaments and who holds the most Mystic Staff trophies, as you witness the journey to actually win one, you will come to realise that not everything has been revealed!
