Complete BLAST Pro Series Lisbon Team List Finally Revealed

The complete BLAST Pro Series Lisbon team list has finally been revealed, and the defending champions, Natus Vincere, will get a chance to fend off all takers as the action-filled two-day tournament takes its unique brand of CS:GO to the capital of Portugal.

RFRSH recently announced that they were taking the BLAST Pro Series all over the world. Having already included stops in Istanbul and Copenhagen, RFRSH will now take BLAST Pro Series to Lisbon for a six-team clash on December 14 with $250,000 up for grabs. Afterwards, BLAST Pro Series will bring the action to Sao Paolo, Miami, and Madrid. This is in addition to a number of still-unannounced cities from around the globe.

As has been the case with previous Blast Pro Series tournaments, the showdown in Lisbon will feature a total of 6 direct invites. The first day will feature each team fighting each other in a round-robin Group Stage. The top two teams will then face off in the Grand Finals for the title, trophy, and the prize money.

Of the complete BLAST Pro Series Lisbon team list, half of them have already won a BLAST Pro Series tournament. This includes the most recent winners, Natus Vincere.

Natus Vincere’s stature as the defending champions means nothing to the latest title odds, as rightfully so. Although they had beaten Ninjas in Pyjamas in the Grand Finals of BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen 2018, they failed to follow it up with a win at IEM Chicago 2018. In fact, they couldn’t even make it out of the Group Stage.

Of course, we all know that it doesn’t take much for Natus Vincere to make a deep run. So long as Aleksandr ‘s1mple‘ Kostyliev is on the roster, they’ll remain a dangerous team that can take games and series off of literally anyone, including the heavy favourites, Astralis.

Astralis have dominated the season so far and are also the heavy favourites to win ECS Season 6 finals. Considering the relative lack of competition there, it wouldn’t be a surprise if they walked away with the trophy from Arlington and their eighth LAN title for 2018 in tow. After which, they’ll duke it out with 15 other teams, including Natus Vincere and MIBR, at the Sparekassen Fyn Arena in Odense at the ESL Pro League Season 8 LAN finals.

With at least two big LAN tournaments to go before BLAST Pro Series Lisbon, it’ll be interesting how the teams rank up by then.
