BLAST Pro Series Tournaments To Go Global in Spring 2019 - Esportsranks
BLAST Pro Series Tournaments To Go Global in Spring 2019

With the third of the BLAST Pro Series tournaments just right around the corner, RFRSH Entertainment made an announcement that would reassure fans that, not only is the two-day tournament here to stay but that it’s about to go global real soon.

After circling back to where it all started in Copenhagen later this week, RFRSH Entertainment has already laid out plans to bring BLAST Pro Series tournaments to the rest of the world. First off in the tournament’s international tour is Blast Pro Series Lisbon on December 15 at the Altice Arena in Lisbon, Portugal. After which, the tournament will bring its unique brand of action across three continents throughout the Spring of 2019; Sao Paulo, Brazil in March; Miami, Florida in April; Madrid, Spain in May.

The year-ending BLAST Pro Series tournament in Lisbon will serve as RFRSH Entertainment’s fourth tournament run overall. Much like its previous iterations, it will feature teams such as Astralis, Made in Brazil, and FaZe Clan.

A mix of high-quality production, a huge prize pool, and lineups composed of top-tier CS:GO teams have helped BLAST Pro Series tournaments become fan favourites in a relatively short period of time. Case in point, the tournament has yet to fail to sell out the venues in all of their tournaments so far.

What Are The BLAST Pro Series Tournaments?

BLAST Pro Series Tournaments

A unique format and high production value have made the BLAST Pro Series Tournaments one of the must-watch events in all of CS:GO.

BLAST Pro Series is a series of $250,000 invite-only tournaments that has quickly become popular since its first entry back in 2017. This is mainly for its rather interesting format and excellent production quality.

And, with a $250,000 total prize pool, you’d best bet that the teams are enjoying the chance to cash in on a quick payday.

So far, BLAST Pro Series tournaments have only been held in Copenhagen and Istanbul. This includes this weekend’s event, BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen 2018, which will be held at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen. However, with the recent announcement, BLAST Pro Series is going to reach out to far more people than ever before. In addition to the four events already announced so far, RFRSH Entertainment have five more tournaments with unconfirmed dates and locations lined up for the rest of 2019.

BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen 2018 will feature six CS:GO teams from around the globe fighting over a $250,000 prize pool. The historically-dominant Astralis squad head into the tournament as the heavy favourites to defend their title. However, Natus Vincere and FaZe Clan, the latter of which are fresh off a huge win at EPICENTER 2018, will look to try and make things interesting.
