With Team Secret and Virtus.Pro already assured of their slots in the ESL Hamburg Playoffs, the five remaining teams — Evil Geniuses had already eliminated Fnatic at the end of Day 2 of the ESL Hamburg Major — will now have to fight it out tomorrow for the second place in their respective groups and a guaranteed Top 4 finish.
Tomorrow’s match schedule is as follows:
12:00 CEST — Keen Gaming vs SG e-sports
15:45 CEST — Newbee vs Evil Geniuses
19:40 CEST — Team Liquid vs Keen Gaming/SG-esports
Keen Gaming vs SG e-sports

A huge unknown versus a legitimate underdog, betting on Keen Gaming here means you’re putting a lot of your trust in the fact that they are from China. However, while that logic is sound, SG e-sports, nor the South American scene as a whole, are not exactly the underdogs that they used to be.
SG e-sports proved this earlier in April, while Infamous further improved the region’s case at The International 7. And, though they’re currently sporting a different lineup, the All-Brazilian team also proved earlier at the Starladder Minor that they’re worth betting on after taking down Vici Gaming 2-0.
Betting on SG e-sports to do that against Keen Gaming at 4/1 odds (bet365) seems like wishful thinking, but a 2-1 match score in their favour isn’t as unlikely.
Betting: SG e-sports to go 2-1 at 10/3 (bet365); Total Maps over 2.5 at 10/11 (bet365)
Newbee vs Evil Geniuses
Essentially another TI7 grudge match, both Newbee and Evil Geniuses look like they’re far from midseason form. So, expect quite a few sloppy plays here and there from both teams.
As far as the betting goes, both teams are too unpredictable to pencil in a sure win. Although, if it’s any use, Newbee has historically had Evil Geniuses’ number and if not for Syed Sumail ‘SumaiL’ Hassan going off on his Storm Spirit at the Manila Masters, would’ve had a 3-0 series advantage over the boys in blue since patch 7.06 hit.
If Newbee decides to play more aggressively, they’re a sure bet to win the series either 2-1 or 2-0 at 12/5 (bet365) and advance to the ESL Hamburg Playoffs.
Betting: Newbee to go 2-1 at 3.4 (ggbet); Evil Geniuses to win at least 1 Map at 3/10 (bet365)
Don’t Bet Against Team Liquid
Until the patch changes, it’s not wise to bet against Team Liquid. Although they did lose against Virtus.Pro, they remain one of the heavy favourites to win the tournament outright at 9/4, as per bet365.
Regardless of which of SG e-sports and Keen Gaming they’re going to go up against, they’re a shoo-in to advance to the ESL Hamburg Playoffs, so bet on them as soon as the odds are available.
