OG has released Anathan Pham, or better yet known as ana, from their roster nearly one year after he made his debut as a professional Dota 2 player with the European organisation.
One of the Season’s Breakout Stars
Anathan Pham first gained notoriety as a pub star in Southeast Asia and as a stand-in for Invictus Gaming.
OG then decided to pick him up to round out their new roster post-TI6 along with Gustav ‘s4′ Magnusson and Jesse ‘JerAx’ Vainikka.
With their new lineup, OG quickly went back to their winning ways. In particular, ana, who had little experience at the professional level, didn’t take long to prove that he was one of Dota 2’s rising stars.
His play was instrumental to OG’s success this season as the team went on to take home the trophies at both The Boston and Kiev Majors.

ana’s future with the team had already become a hot topic after fans blamed him for OG’s shortcomings post-Kiev. To many, he was as good as gone, especially after OG posted a 7th-8th place finish at TI7.
So, once OG’s official announcement came out, it only served as a confirmation for what was already written on the proverbial wall.
Anathan Pham has since tweeted that he is going to take a break from competitive Dota 2 this season.
I will be taking a break this season.
See you all next season! https://t.co/LMpKD7B1hK
