Alliance Roster Now Down To 2 Players

The Alliance roster is now down to just 2 players after dropping Simoni ‘Handsken’ Haag, Linus ‘Limmp’ Blomdin and Jonas ‘jonassomfan’ Lindholm following the team’s failure to qualify for The International 7.

Once a perennial powerhouse, Alliance is now anything but; the team has only appeared in three LAN tournaments so far this year. Although the current roster gave Alliance their first LAN title in nearly two years, it was nothing but a consolation, with a roster change already evident even then.

The recent announcement only serves to validate the earlier expectations.

Handsken, Limmp and jonassomfan all came aboard the Alliance roster at the same time post-TI6. All three had previously played together back in 2015 with the now-defunct Ninjas in Pyjamas squad.

The Return of Loda (?)

TI3 champions, Jerry ‘EGM’ Lundkvist and Jonathan ‘Loda’ Berg both left the team just two weeks apart a few months ago. However, while EGM went on to join Crescendo for the TI7 qualifiers, Loda had only stepped down to take a break from competitive play.

With the Alliance roster short three players, Loda has since teased of a possible return on Twitter:

Axel ‘Pablo’ Källman and Adrian ‘Era’ Kryeziu, who both joined Alliance for the TI7 qualifiers, are now the only remaining players on the roster.

Who do you think Alliance will pick up for the 2017-18 season? Will we see the return of the legendary player, Loda? Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments down below.
