2018 NA Spring Split Week 7 Preview – Winning Picks - Esportsranks
2018 NA Spring Split Week 7 Preview – Winning Picks

There’s going to be a couple of big games in the 2018 NA Spring Split this week. Owing to the volatile nature of the split so far, this also means that there are quite a couple of opportunities to win big as well.

Take a look at our analysis below as we break down the games that we think that will give you the best chances of making bank in Week 7 of the 2018 NA Spring Split.

2018 NA Spring Split Week 7 Day 2

TL vs. 100 Thieves 1.50 vs. 2.40 (23:00 GMT+1)

The bookies have favoured Team Liquid all season, and they have looked pretty strong. However, 100 Thieves certainly haven’t been walkovers, and this game will likely be a lot closer than the odds above show. In fact, 100 Thieves are equal with TL, so to have such massive odds in favour of Team Liquid seems very strange indeed. You’d expect the odds in such a close run affair to show exactly that, but they really don’t.

Whichever team gets a stronger start will likely win the game, which is why the bookies prefer TL. Xmithie has been a dominant jungler over the last few splits, but Meteos has a lot of experience.Meanwhile, the bottom, top and mid are all evenly matched, which should make this one to hell of a match to follow to say the least.

TSM vs. FlyQuest 1.45 vs. 2.55 (00:00 GMT+1)

It seems as if we’ve been picking on TSM over the last few weeks of the 2018 NA Spring Split, but that’s simply because they’re incredibly inconsistent. Or at least they were. They’ve been playing a lot better recently, but that doesn’t mean that they might not still flop again this week.

FlyQuest are battling for a play-off space, and beating TSM would be one way to do it. This is definitely a risky one, but there is a chance that FlyQuest might cause on upset here. Their wacky play-style has caught some teams off guard this split so far, and some teams simply cannot deal with them.

2018 NA Spring

Golden Guardians vs. Echo Fox 4.75 vs. 1.15 (02:00 GMT+1)

This one is for all those who love the underdog stories. Echo Fox have been almost completely dominant throughout this split, whereas Golden Guardians have flopped all over the place like a salmon out of water. However, they have sometimes looked like team worthy of the NA LCS, and their talent pool is undeniable.

Echo Fox do have a history of underestimating some of the worse teams and threw a massive lead against Optic (although they still won the game). That is why this game is featured here, because Echo Fox may well think the game is over before the fat lady sings.

If that is the case, expect Golden Guardians to claw at their lead desperately, and try to overturn any deficit. It probably won’t happen, but Golden Guardians are in with a shot at an upset.

2018 NA Spring Split Week 7 Day 2

100 Thieves vs. TSM 2.30 vs. 1.55 (23:00 GMT+1)

Here again are TSM, but for one very specific reason: bot lane. You can almost guarantee that Aphromoo is cooking up something spicy in the bot lane, and he will partner up with the rest of his team to give Zven and Mithy an all American regal welcome. You’ve heard about frat parties, but that’s nothing compared to the party expected in the bot lane this game.

100 Thieves are an intelligent team, and they will likely plan some crazy shenanigans early on to throw the Europeans off their game. However, Bjergsen, Hauntzer and MikeYeung will be on duty to help their bot lane out. Should TSM fall behind enough in the bot lane, 100 Thieves could easily run away with the game.

Expect Bjergsen to pick Galio, if he’s not banned, as this is one way to help out his bot.
