Splyce were close to forgetting they were the underdogs on this show and almost destroyed the fourth wall. We predicted that G2 would win the match, and that proved to be the case. However, we had no idea it would be this close, Splyce fought for their lives throughout these games. The EU LCS season only has one match left that is the 2018 EU LCS Regional Finals.
The match between Splyce and G2 was a close one, and we didn’t really know who the victor would be till the very end. That’s a pretty bad look for G2, especially since we expected them to run Splyce down 3-0.
If G2 Esports keep up this level of gameplay in the 2018 EU LCS Regional Finals, their victory will be a short lived one.

G2 Had Problems Against Splyce
G2 Esports, first three games against Splyce were poor considering the talent on their roster. There is literally no way to explain why they played the way they did, but Splyce was happy to take advantage of their mistakes.
The thing is … this series would be in Splyce’s back pocket had it not been for Perkz solo carrying his team to victory repeatedly. Jankos kept getting caught all over the map and helped Splyce snowball into the late game. All the members of G2 except for Perkz made numerous errors the likes of which shouldn’t be coming from them.
Hjarnan got caught out of position more than once, and Perkz had to put in some good work by doing as much damage as possible to keep Splyce from taking over. His plays on Akali were notable, although all his picks ended up paying dividends.
This only changed during the last two games, where G2 went through a composition change and opted for a Heimerdinger on Hjarnan, which worked out really well for the team.
2018 EU LCS Regional Finals: Prediction
Betting: Schalke to win at 1.61 odds (ArcaneBet)
Schalke 04 looked like absolute legends when they went down against Fnatic. Their level of gameplay was far better than anything Splyce or G2 displayed tonight. We didn’t really think G2 had a chance against Schalke at first, but judging by this performance, they have an even harder match against Schalke than predicated. G2 seem to have exhausted their surprise pick in Heimerdinger as a lifebuoy against Splyce; something which they seemed to be holding onto until they didn’t have an alternative. This might have been their key to win against Schalke, but now they have played that hand.
Upset has a wider champion pool than Kobbe, making him impossible to ban out. Nukeduck won’t just sit back like Nisqy; he’ll step ahead and try to solo kill Perkz. Amazing is a far better jungler than Jankos right now. Vizicsacsi can do a far better job in the top lane than Odoamne pulled off. All in all, Schalke have the superior roster with the exception of Perkz, and can play the map better than Splyce.
There’s too much of an advantage on Schalke’s side, and unless they completely mess everything up just to spite us, we’re sure they’ll win the game 3-1.
